Explore Research

Research is at the heart of our mission.  For more than 65 years, the American Cancer Society has been finding answers that save lives - from changes in lifestyle to new approaches in therapies to improving cancer patients' quality-of-life.  In fact, no single nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization in the US has invested more to find the causes and cures of cancer.

Map, sort, compare, and export global cancer data. The Cancer Atlas, created by The American Cancer Society, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and the Union for International Cancer Control, is a one-stop shop for all of the best cancer data available and offers in-depth insights into the cancer burden, major risk factors, and ways leaders worldwide can take action.
